Six services. One accountable cycle.

Proficient Financial Services runs the full financial administration of a medical practice — billing and switching, account management, cash-flow projections, payments and reconciliation, credit control, and reporting.

Each service can stand alone. The real value is the handoff between them: the claim, the account, the payment and the report all belong to the same monthly rhythm, handled by one accountable team.

Six services. One accountable cycle.

Each service can stand alone — but the real value is the handoff between them. The claim, the account, the payment and the report all belong to one monthly rhythm.

Billing & Switching

Billing and switching of patient accounts — every consultation captured and submitted to the medical aid.

  • Consultations captured on your practice system
  • Submitted through the medical-aid switch
  • Clean claims, without delay

Account Management

Current and overdue accounts reviewed against the practice's credit-control policy.

  • Medical-aid & patient balances kept current
  • Rejections reviewed and resubmitted
  • Accounts aged and reviewable

Cash Flow Projections

Fortnightly cash-flow projections so the practice can see what's coming in and plan around it.

  • Fortnightly projections
  • Clear view of incoming funds
  • Practical, decision-ready figures

Payment Processing & Reconciliation

Payments processed and matched to the right accounts, with the exceptions flagged.

  • Payments processed and allocated
  • Debtors reconciled; adjustments, write-offs and credit balances handled
  • Unallocated amounts flagged

Credit Control & Outstanding Accounts

Overdue balances followed up clearly and respectfully — under the practice's mandate.

  • Managed on the practice's behalf, with approval on what goes out
  • Respectful, patient-appropriate communication
  • Never as an independent debt collector

Ad-hoc Reporting & Procedure Manuals

Month-end and accountant reporting, custom reports on request, and written procedure manuals.

  • Month-end process and accountant reporting
  • Ad-hoc reporting on request
  • Assistance with procedure manuals
The revenue cycle

From consultation to cleared payment.

PFS manages the full practice-finance path. Following up outstanding accounts is one careful stage inside that wider cycle, never the whole story.

Questions, answered

Clear answers, in plain language.

Can a practice take just one service, or is it all six?

Each service can stand alone — a practice can start with billing and switching, or with credit control, and add others later. The value grows when they run together as one monthly cycle, but PFS fits the scope the practice needs.

Does PFS replace our practice-management software?

No. PFS works inside the software a practice already uses, including Altron Medemass, Panacea, Medex and Clinic Clinic. There is nothing new for the team to learn.

Is credit control the same as debt collection?

No. Proficient Financial Services is not a registered debt collector. Overdue balances are handled as credit control and outstanding-account management on the practice's behalf, under the practice's mandate and approval.
